Conveniently Located at 243 Old Street, London EC1V 9EY. The Star in Shoreditch,  is a vibrant nightlife destination blending bar, live music venue, and late-night entertainment hub.

Spanning two floors,  venue includes The Workshop, boasting an underground space for up to 70 guests, where live music, also DJs, and karaoke take centre stage.  Over weekends, the DJs spin until 4 a.m., and karaoke sessions keep the energy high.

Predominantly, a rock-‘n’-roll bar with a covered terrace and multiple video screens. The Star in Shoreditch serves up a mix of cocktails, craft beers, burgers, pizzas, grill dishes, and bar snacks.  The terrace is equipped with screens for live sports, making it a popular spot for football nights and other match viewings.

The venue has evolved over time: originally a postwar pub called Crosby’s Head, it was later rebranded as Road Trip and The Workshop before becoming The Star in Shoreditch.  Today, it’s known for an eclectic and electric atmosphere, catering to music lovers, night owls, and groups seeking memorable evenings.

Opening hours are late, especially on weekends:

  • Thursday & Friday: from 4 pm to 4 am (last entry ~2 am)
  • Saturday: midday to 4 am
  • Sunday: noon to midnight
    (Opening times vary midweek.)

The venue hosts a range of weekly events including pub quizzes, themed nights, karaoke parties, and live music gigs. Private hire is available for birthdays, corporate events, or bespoke celebrations.
